Approximately 80 kilometers, starting from Mariquita until reaching the summit of Alto de Letras.

If you're traveling by private vehicle, you can reach Mariquita, Tolima , from various locations across the country. Here are the main routes:

From Bogotá (approx. 160 km – 3.5 to 4 hours)

Take Calle 80 towards La Vega - Villeta or Calle 13 towards Facatativá - Villeta.

From Villeta, continue along the road passing through Guaduas, Honda and finally Mariquita.

From Ibagué (approx. 110 km – 80 minutes)

Leave Ibagué towards Alvarado, Venadillo, Lérida, Armero, Guayabal and finally Mariquita.

From Manizales (approx. 110 km – 2.5 hours)

Take the road to Maltería, Alto de Letras, Mesones, Pádua, Fresno and finally Mariquita.

From Medellín (approx. 250 km – 5 hours)

Take the Medellín-Bogotá Highway. In Doradal, take the Ruta del Sol toward Puerto Salgar.

There you take the Guarinosito road to Honda and finally you arrive at Mariquita.

1. Fly to Ibagué : Several national airlines operate flights from Bogotá and other major cities to Perales Airport (IBG) .

2. From Ibagué to Mariquita by car or bus :

• By private vehicle or taxi: Approximately 2 hours travel time (120 km).

• By bus: From the Ibagué Transport Terminal , there are buses and colectivos with an estimated travel time of 2 to 2.5 hours .

Mariquita is a hub for family activities, including historical sites, hiking, and ecotourism. If you're a cyclist, there are numerous routes for both amateur and professional cyclists, from the famous and challenging Alto de Letras to the Vuelta Tolima.
